The death occurred in Brisbane
on Dec. 5th of Mrs. Matilda Stoneham,
a well known Proserpine resident.
She was a member of the Albietz
family of Bowen, and leaves a
husband and four daughters, also
three sisters and two brothers—Mrs.
W. Stoneham, Mrs. Max Muller and
Mrs. F. Muller (Don River) and
Francis and Arthur Albietz of Bowen;

Matilda Stoneham, wife of Mr. Jack
Stoneham, died in Brisbane on Tuesday.
The deceased lady recently went to
Brisbane to undergo an operation, after
which pneumonia caused her death.
The late Mrs. Stoneham has resided
in this district for a long term of
years and was a member of the Albietz
family of Bowen. She leaves a husband
and a family of four daughters,
Mrs. S. O'Keefe and Mrs. W. Wright
(Sydney), Mrs. W. Hurley and Nurse
D. Stoneham, of Proserpine, and one
son Charlie, who is farming in the Glen
Isla district. She also leaves a stepdaughter,
Gladys Stoneham, and a stepson, Jack,
both of whom reside in Brisbane.
She is also survived by three
sisters and two brothers—Mrs. W.
Stoneham, Mrs. Max Muller and Mrs.
F. Muller, Don River; and Francis and
Arthur'Albeitz of Bowen. There are
also six grandchildren.
The late Mrs. Stoneham was cremated
on Thursday morning at the Mt.
Thompson crematorium in Brisbane.
