Union, N.J., Sept. 1 – John J. Albiez of 683 Colonia Avenue, an insurance broker and a former member of the Union Township Committee, died today at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark, after a short illness. His age was 50.
He was past vice president of the New Jersey State Association of Elks and a former district governor of the National Order of Elks. Mr. Albiez was a founder of the Union Rotary Club and a director of the Monarch Savings and Loan Association.
Surviving are his widow, Mildred; a son, John J. Albiez Jr. of Union; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Albiez of this place, and two brothers, George of Bloomfield and Martin of Paterson.

Henry R. Bauer, 76, died yesterday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Hillegass, Alburtis R. 1, where he resided. He was born in Longswamp Township, Berks County, a son of the late Nicholas and Mary Anna (Reinert) Bauer. His wife, Catherine (Gilberg) Bauer, died in 1952. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Huffs Church and of the Modern Woodmen of the World. He is survived by the following children: a daughter, Lizzie, wife of Clinton Hillegass, with whom he lived; two sons, John, Macungie R. 1, and Joseph, Boyertown R. 1; and a stepson, William Albitz, Cetronia. Seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive as well as two brothers, William, Boyertown, and David, Alburtis R. 1. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Huffs Church.
