Laverne S. Fredrick, age 88, of Berger passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022.

She was born on May 26th, 1933, in Berger, a daughter to the late Emil Albietz and Elsie (Vohs) Albietz.

On June 1, 1957, she was united in marriage to Alvin Fredrick at St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church in Berger. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1970.

Laverne worked at the International Shoe Company in Hermann for 10 years. She also worked for the Langenberg Hat Company in Berger for 25 years. Laverne spent most of her life on the Fredrick Family farm. She enjoyed gardening and doing yard work. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. She liked traveling to Branson and taking trips with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Hermann and was also a member of the Women’s Fellowship. She was a volunteer at Frene Valley Nursing Home and for the Senior Center in Hermann.

Her family was her pride and joy. She has 1 son, 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She loved to spend time with her family on the farm and spent many days sharing stories with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: Her son, David Fredrick of Berger, and her grandchildren: Joseph (Jessica) Fredrick, Samantha (David) Greunke; 4 great grandchildren: Jillian and Jordan Fredrick and Dakota and Daxton Greunke.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10th from 9:00 to 11:0 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Oak Haven Memorial Gardens. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
