Todesursache: cerebral hemorrhage (stroke) and arterio sclerosis Notiz: Funeral services for Professor H. C. Albitz, well-known Atlanta citizen and music teacher, who died Thursday afternoon in a private hospital, his death resulting from a sudden attack of apoplexy, will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the residence, 349 Cooper street, with Dean Thomas H. Johnston of St. Philip's cathedral in charge. Interment will be in West View cemetery. Funeral services for Professor H. C. Albitz, well-known Atlanta citizen and music teacher, who died Thursday afternoon in a private hospital, his death resulting from a sudden attack of apoplexy, will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the residence, 349 Cooper street, with Dean Thomas H. Johnston of St. Philip's cathedral in charge. Interment will be in West View cemetery. Professor Albitz was born in St. Louis in 1857, graduated from the St. Louis Conservatory of Music in 1876, spent a number of his earlier years in California, removing to Georgia in 1886, residing at Athens, Ga., for several years and coming to Atlanta about 1893 to take up his profession here. He had a host of friends among his pupils and associates, who will learn with regret of his death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Albitz; one daughter, Mrs. E. L. Schenck; two stepdaughters, Mrs. R. F. Butler and Miss Edwina Wood; a brother, Will Albitz, of St. Louis, and a sister, Mrs. Kate Fischer, of Oakland, Cal., and one stepson, W. J. Wood. |
