John J. Albietz died from complication of diseases at the West Penn hospital in Pittsburgh, Friday, Feb 15th.
Mr. Albietz was in his 55th year and was well known in his vicinity. He served his country in the late war and was a member of Colonel Rippey post No. 41, Grand Army of the Republic, and also captain for a number of years of the noted military organization known as the Duqnesne Greys, which at one time was the proud of Pittsburgh.
He was a son-in-law of Mr. Christ Hauser, No. 1211 Seventeenth Street. A number of relatives residing in this city departed on western express Sunday morning to attend the funeral, which took place yesterday afternoon.
